Liverpool named a full-strength starting lineup for their Premier League visit to Bournemouth on Sunday. The team news confirmed manager Andoni Iraola had no fresh injury concerns ahead of the 2pm kick-off at the Vitality Stadium.
Alisson returned in goal, replacing Giorgi Mamardashvili who was on the bench. Virgil van Dijk resumed his place in central defence, partnered by Jeremy Jacquet after the latter replaced Joe Gomez at half-time in midweek. The attacking midfield trio featured Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola, with Alexander Isak leading the line.
Iraola told reporters his squad was ready. "Everyone is ready to go," the Liverpool manager said.
Gakpo has been in strong form, contributing a goal or an assist in all but one of his Premier League appearances this season. Both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, who scored in the Carabao Cup win over Tottenham, started in midfield. Szoboszlai's goal came in the 67th minute of that match.
Bournemouth, who sit 17th in the Premier League with three points from five games, faced a formidable opponent. The Cherries' recent fixtures have been challenging, and they were looking to build on a 2-1 win away at Real Sociedad in their last outing.
For Liverpool, the absentees remained Conor Bradley, Matteo Leoni, Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa. The substitutes' bench included Mamardashvili, Gomez, Kostas Tsimikas, Pedro Munoz, Jeremie Frimpong, Ryan Gravenberch, Trey Nyoni, Lewis Koumas and Chinonso Ngumoha.
Liverpool's next match is against Manchester United on 20 October, a team currently in 12th place with 7 points.
The match was broadcast live on Sky Sports. Bournemouth's next league assignment is a trip to face Chelsea, who are 10th, on 10 October.
