Bournemouth's summer transfer window has been graded by football outlet The Transfer Flow as part of its league-wide review published this week. The assessment arrives as Andoni Iraola's side holds 15th place in the Premier League with two points from three matches, their form reading DDL.
The Transfer Flow released its post-window evaluations for all Premier League clubs, starting with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford, and Brighton. While the specific letter grade for the Cherries was not detailed in the initial social media post, the publication's analysis suggests a measured review of their business. The club's current league position and -1 goal difference, having scored four and conceded five, provide immediate context for the squad's needs. Fans can track the team's progress in the standings throughout the season.
Integrating any new signings remains a task for the coaching staff, particularly with several players currently unavailable. The squad list on our injuries page confirms Amine Adli, Eli Junior Kroupi, Julián Araujo, and Veljko Milosavljević are all sidelined. This absence of depth in key areas may have influenced the external grading of the window's business. On a positive note, Marcus Tavernier has started the season strongly, leading the team as top scorer with two goals in three appearances.
The immediate focus shifts to the pitch and correcting the slow start. Bournemouth faces a quick turnaround with a home match against Brentford scheduled for September 12. Brentford currently sits 5th, presenting a significant challenge for the Cherries to secure their first win. The full schedule of upcoming games is available on the club's fixtures page. A positive result could help build momentum and justify the summer's recruitment strategy.
With the transfer window closed, the work now falls to the existing group. The team finds itself seven points behind early leaders Manchester City. The next fixture at the Vitality Stadium offers the perfect opportunity to start closing that gap. Bournemouth hosts Brentford on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
