Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola has been appointed as the new head coach of Liverpool, following the sacking of Arne Slot. Iraola has identified Milos Kerkez as the first player he wants to improve at Liverpool. Kerkez, who joined Liverpool from Bournemouth in the summer of 2025 for £40million, established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League during his time at Bournemouth. Iraola praised Kerkez's potential and expressed his desire to help him develop. Iraola also praised Arne Slot, who led Liverpool to the Premier League title in the 2024/25 campaign. Iraola is looking forward to working with Kerkez and the rest of the Liverpool squad.
